We all know yoga can be incredibly relaxing but what else do we get out of the ancient practise?

4 – Speeds up your heart rate. You don’t need an intense cardio workout to get your heart pumping, if your joints can’t handle jogging yoga is a great workout to try.
5 – Releases endorphins and makes you happier. Exercise is the one natural drug that can do wonders for us inside and out by increasing our serotonin levels and decreasing cortisol, the stress hormone.
6 – Helps aid weight loss. We all know we should eat less and move more but you’ll be surprised just how much weight you can lose by practising
7 – Improves balance. If you struggle with your posture yoga can be great for improving the way you hold yourself and make you sit and stand properly improving your overall health.
8 – Prevents digestive disorders. Stress can trigger a lot of digestive discomfort such as stomach ulcers and IBS and it’s been documented that yoga can lower stress levels and help soothe these symptoms.
